The firm’s owners Unichips SpA will relocate to Italy with West Lothian Council partially defatted peanut flour offering to assist workers to find new jobs.
It is a further jobs blow for the area following the closure of Hall s of Broxburn, with the loss of 1700 jobs, and the potential closure of the Muller Wiseman depot in Whitburn, with the loss of a further 116 jobs.
